Winter wonderland ...
Our "new" veHICKle. Who needs brakes when you can just drop the plow to stop?!?!
Ain't she perty?? Name suggestions welcome.
Ahhh, symmetry (well, almost).
Dan's pride and joy. Notice the care to detail, like the tapered post-top and some outlet thingy toward the bottom, blah, blah, blah

Inside shots ...
Me fantasizing about my new kitchen (this is where I think the pantry will go). I LOVE to cook!!
This shot gives you an idea of the window arrangement in the "great room" (not really that big). Below the set on the left will be a large picture window (eat in kitchen) and below the set on the right will be sliding glass doors (living room). Between the two will be a wood stove with a stone backdrop.
We like this shot because it makes the cathedral ceilings look sooo high (I swear they don't look that big in person). That's the living room behind me.

Construction ...
Here are some more pics of the progress we're making on the house. We hope to have a completely enclosed structure by the end of next week. The roof truss were put in place yesterday. More pics to follow.

Progress
Well, I won't apologize again for it being so long since our last post. Life is good and now that we officially own our land and have started building, I thought this would be the easiest way to keep everyone updated with photos. Below is the progression from clearing to foundation. It's taken a lot to get this far and we've hit some bumps but we are on our way and hope to have an enclosed structure by the time the snow flies (with power!). Man I can't wait until the pretty part.
Driveway into the homesite
Our good friend Tom clearing the site.
Much dirt
Good Jem guarding the "happy juice"
"Gee babe, sure I can't (sip) help with that (chug)???"
That's what they call footers
